Bicycle maintenance is very important so that you can continue to ride trouble free. Maintaining your bicycle between adjustments is critical. Here are some tips:
Keep proper pressure in your bicycle tires. Good bike tires and tubes are porous, and they slowly leak air. We recommend pumping up your bike tires before each ride using a good quality bicycle floor pump with a reliable gauge. This reduces your risk of flats. The suggested tire pressure for your bicycle is shown on the sidewall of the bike tire, or feel free to ask us for assistance. We keep a large variety of quality pumps in stock from Topeak, Serfas, Genuine Innovations, and Lezyne, as well as adapters.
Keep your bicycle clean and dry. After wet rides, dry the bike and lube the chain and cables. We’d be happy to help you select the proper lube and accessories for your bike riding conditions and show you how to use them correctly.
