Remember when buying a new inner tube, you need to make sure you buy the proper size. Check the sidewall of your tire to get the exact dimensions of your tube. Also, make sure you buy the proper valve (schrader or presta).
Presta valves can also be purchased in different lengths to accomodate the thickness of your rim. You want to be able to inflate the tire without pulling on the valve stem. Smooth presta valves also help keep the gasket in your floor pump working longer. Typical valve lengths will be 34, 48, 60 or 80mm.
