Fitness Apps You Can Use With Your Smartphone

MapMyRide:
MapMyRide is a fitness tracking application that enables you to use the built in GPS on your mobile device to track all of your fitness activities.  Record your workout details, including duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned, and routes traveled on an interactive map.  You can effortlessly save and upload your data to MapMyRide where you can view your route workout data and comprehensive workout history. 

STRAVA:
Track all of your runs, rides, and cross training, too.  Upload your activities from your Garmin, Android, or iPhone, and Strava will automatically log all of your workouts.  Run or ride a segment (specific section of road or trail) and compare your effort against past efforts, as well as other athletes who have run or ridden the same segment.  See where you rank, and start moving up the leader boards!

RunKeeper:
This app tracks all of your fitness activities and shows your performance records including miles, time, speed, and heart rate.

MyFitnessPal:
MyFitnessPal uses built in GPS technology to provide runners, cyclists, and walkers the ability to map, record, and track their workouts.  In addition, users have access to a searchable database of local routes, online tools, event listings, and more.  Users can also import workouts from over 400 compatible devices, including Jawbone, Garmin, Polar, and Fitbit.  Get credit for all the calories you burn by linking your MyFitnessPal account with MapMyFitness.  Once connected, you’ll be able to view your workout stats, calories burned, and nutrition data within the same dashboard.
